Who are we?

Our mission

We believe that every youngster has the right to dream big about the future. That is why TADA addresses inequality through long-term and high-quality educational programs. Through these, we empower youngsters in Belgium from socio-economically vulnerable backgrounds in finding their place in society.

We do not act alone: we invite everyone to support our social project and we activate citizens, governments, and businesses to take responsibility together. Because the future of our youngsters is the responsibility of us all.

Our concern

In Belgium, educational inequality is among the highest in the OECD countries;
a child's socio-economic background still all too often dictates their academic
performance, choice of study, and chances of success.

National data highlights the widespread nature of this issue: nearly one in five Belgian children (19%) grows up at risk of poverty or social exclusion.
This means that in our country, an estimated 400.000 children and young people navigate their school careers with significantly less access to promising networks and opportunities than their peers.

Without timely intervention, the social and personal consequences are profound:

Academic delay: No less than 69% of youth from socially vulnerable backgrounds complete their secondary education with a delay.
Early school leaving: At least 30% of them leave school without a diploma. In major cities, an average of 20% of all students drop out prematurely.
Long-term unemployment: Young people who leave school without a diploma spend an average of 60% of their working lives unemployed.
High cost to society: Early school leaving does not only shatter individual dreams; it costs Belgian society an average of nearly €1 million per dropout over their lifetime.

Notre approche préventive

TADA adopte une approche préventive en intervenant tôt dans le parcours scolaire – dès l'âge de 10 ans. Nous constatons que les jeunes issus de milieux socialement vulnérables limitent parfois leurs rêves, en ce sens, nous voulons précisément offrir un contrepoids. En effet, chaque jeune a le droit de rêver grand pour son avenir et de trouver sa propre place dans la société. Through our long-term educational programs, we tackle inequality at its roots. In this way, we contribute across various fields to an inclusive, healthy, and equitable future where every youngster has the opportunity to thrive.
